Truck Sizes In Tons

The current MQP fleet profile is made up of a range of 5, 6, 8 wheelers and articulated vehicles. It has evolved over the years to provide a selection of size and specification vehicles to meet customer demand.

The majority of the fleet are 32 tonne 8 wheeler vehicles with a pay load of approx. 20 tonnes, these are the mainstay of our fleet and tend to be the most popular vehicle size preferred by our customer base. We have a smaller fleet consisting of 5 wheelers (14 tonnes approx) and 6 wheelers (16 tonnes approx) vehicles. We have vehicles with tail board chutes which can be requested on order to meet the demand of the customer.

The fleet profile is reviewed as customer demand dictates and we aim to be as flexible as possible, planning and amending as appropriate.

We measure Hauliers performance, attendance, time, tonnes delivered, customer care complaints etc to ensure that we are fulfilling our vision to give the customer 'What they want when they want it'. The vehicles are tracked to give us real time information on their location, speed and direction. This improves our environmental efficiency, speed of reaction and service to our customers.
